What is Tai Chi?
Tai Chi is a form of exercise which teaches you to relax and improves the flow of your inner energy, or Chi. Unlike much western exercise, which puts emphasis on effort, strain and exhaustion, Tai Chi is gentle, relaxing and energizing.
Tai Chi consists of a series of slow, balanced movements. It is a moving form of Chi Kung (“energy work”), various types of which have been practiced in the East for over 2,000 years. Tai Chi is the most widely known, and is practiced by one in five of the world's population.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has recognised the physical and mental benefits of Tai Chi for many hundreds of years, and it is now becoming increasingly common for Western doctors to prescribe it for treating stress, illness and injury. If you are perfectly healthy, it will help keep you that way!
With regular practice, you can learn to direct your own body's energy for self-healing. At a deeper level of study, Tai Chi is also an ancient and very effective martial art. But even a novice will quickly feel the benefits of learning it.

Who can do Tai Chi?
Tai Chi is suitable for all ages and levels of fitness. As a sensible precaution, if you suffer from a serious condition which affects your health, you should discuss your intention to take up Tai Chi with your doctor.
Please be aware that the very hot and humid climate in Malaysia may make it unsuitable for people suffering from certain health conditions. If you have any concerns, please contact us.
I am interested in Tai Chi but cannot find time to take it up.
That's why we exist! Come on one of our trips and you will have the chance to learn away from the rat-race. It might just change your life! You will have ample time to learn the basics or improve on your existing knowledge with Tai Chi Master, Mr Teng Wie Yoo, in small intensive classes. Then come along to the general classes to practice with the rest of his association and make friends with some local people.
Remember, Tai Chi is the perfect exercise for people who are too busy to do it!
